Brothers and Sisters known as Salesians. Salesian Missions touched the lives of close
to three million poor young people in 2006 through the orphanages, shelters, hospitals,
clinics, nurseries and schools it operates in 131 countries.

2006 PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS:
Trade Schools
In response to a terrifying increase in savage acts against homeless and poor children in Chile, the Don Bosco Programme Foundation pleaded with the citizens to stop the violence through local television broadcasts, and provided education, social and psychological assistance, and rehabilitation from drug addiction to 150 street children.

Education
Two decades of civil war has decimated Sudan in many ways. The education level has plummeted as generations have never gone to school. The Don Bosco Mission Center in Tonj started offering basic educational classes in 2006 to children and adults alike, and the response was overwhelmingly optimistic. More »
Agricutural Schools
Many struggling farming families in Brazil must dig through garbage dumps for anything they can use, including food. The Salesian Center in Manicore helps them overcome these economic and social difficulties by providing support for farmers who are struggling to keep their land. More »
