You are an Angel!

Not too long ago, a young girl in Mekanisa, Ethiopia was left to fend for herself in a garbage dump … a heartbreaking decision made by desperately poor parents who couldn’t afford to feed her amid widespread drought and famine.

In Cali, Colombia, another precious child was ripped away from his own family … only to end up fighting in a war he didn’t understand, throwing grenades with his hands instead of writing the alphabet with a pencil.

These are just two among the countless abandoned, vulnerable and exploited young children the world has forgotten.

But you haven’t.

Every day, desperate children like these pray for a better life … and you have answered their prayers, with compassion and generosity. You have helped us lift countless boys and girls out of darkness … and into the light of dignity, hope and a brighter future.

In gratitude for your kind support, I have sent you our 2024 Angel Datebook.

This inspirational datebook is my gift to you. I hope it will remind you of the important events in your life, and how you have been a “guardian angel” to the children in our care—keeping them safe, warm and free of hunger and fear.

There are many more who are still praying for our help. Together, we can make a difference in their lives.

When you make a donation today, you bring hope and joy to vulnerable children who need it most. What a truly meaningful gift this Christmas season and a gesture of real hope for them in the coming New Year!

Please be sure to send your gift early enough, so that I may send you more 2024 Angel Datebooks with mailing envelopes in plenty of time to give them to the special people on your Christmas list (see the Gift Reply Form in your mailing for details).

Thank you, in advance, for your kind support!

With sincere gratitude,

Father Timothy Ploch, S.D.B.
Interim Director, Salesian Missions
