Parishioners of St. John Bosco’s Parish in Boko are spread out over 29 villages; almost every village has a local chapel. Many chapels are in danger of collapsing and are in urgent need of serious repair. Leaking roofs, ceilings and windows, as well as severely damaged structures make it very difficult and hazardous for the villagers to attend Mass and other community gatherings.

 

This project is locate in the villages of Badalipara, Burahara and Shantipur in the South Kamrup District of Assam, India.

Breakdown of 4 chapels:
a. Chapel in Burahara = $2,735.00
b. Chapel in Shantipur = $2,735.00
c. Chapel in Badalipara= $1,955.00
d. Chapel in Machynakhuwa = $1,955.00

Total cost to repair roofing, ceilings, windows, and paint in four chapels in most dire need = $9,380.00
