Salesian communities are working in the area to achieve the large agricultural and farming potential of youth and young adults. Improvements in irrigation at five Don Bosco centers will provide clean water and give students and residents improved nutrition, as well as improve agricultural production for increased income generation and self-sufficiency.

a. Irrigation systems for greenhouse and boarding house kitchen gardens = $7,000.00
b. Transportable watering system to be used at farming training center = $6,000.00
c. Initiate replacement of irrigation system in agricultural vocational school = $8,000.00

 

This project is located in Lubumbashi, Katanga Province, the Democratic Republic of the Congo*.

The total cost to enhance irrigation systems at five centers = $21,000.00
