On-going Career Development Training
The Salesians’ BEST (Bosco Employability Skills Training) Program helps marginalized college students prepare for long-term careers. By providing comprehensive skills training and offering job placement opportunities, the program seeks to make students career-ready so they can obtain sustainable employment and help build a stronger society.
Each year, the program will be available to 2,500 candidates from 10 colleges. The total cost to fund the entire project for one year is $74,542.00; however, there are several partial funding opportunities available:
- Upgrade computers and replenish supplies = $4,371.00 annually
- Provide for personnel and operating costs = $70,171.00 annually, with breakdown as follows:
- One Project Manager = $4,286.00
- One Application and Documents Manager = $3,429.00
- Five Career Counselors = $15,429.00 (or $3,085.80 each)
- Five Life Skills Trainers = $15,429.00 (or $3,085.80 each)
- Five Job Counselors = $15,429.00 (or $3,085.80 each)
- Annual operating costs = $16,169.00
This on-going project is located in various districts in the Chennai Province of Tamil Nadu, India.
