Provide Clean Water to Poor Communities
Providing clean water to those who do not have access, especially in remote communities, is a priority for our Salesian missionaries. In the Bono region of Ghana, the closest water source available for children and families is a bacteria-ridden stream. During each drought season, the children walk for miles in search of distant water sources. This takes them away from school and hinders their education. Approximately 3,500 men, women and children will benefit from new wells in six communities once the project is complete.
There are numerous opportunities to help fund this project:
- Four boreholes with hand pumps:
- Tummea Meenko (Odumase): $3,545.50
- Yafnnu ntekasa: $3,545,50
- Kwame kra krom (Adoe): $3,545.50
- Yanfum (Odumase): $3,545.50
- Accessories and maintenance at 6 locations: $3,232.00
This project is located in six rural communities in the Bono Region of Ghana.
The total cost of boreholes, accessories and maintenance in six communities = $24,603.00
