Purchase a Tractor for Agricultural Program – #459
The Salesian Nazareth Boarding House in Myanmar is looking to purchase a tractor to enhance its income-generating agricultural program. Currently, the farm relies on renting tractors during harvest season which often leads to delays due to limited availability. Owning a tractor would enable timely ploughing, boost crop yields, and minimize reliance on costly external services.
The improved efficiency will allow the farm to produce more vegetables, lower food costs, and better serve the daily needs of 200 – 300 people, especially the boys and girls, ages 12 to 20, who come from impoverished families. In addition, the project will provide training and employment opportunities for youth and parishioners, strengthening self-sufficiency and reducing reliance on external aid.
This project is located at the Salesian Nazareth Boarding House in Mandalay, Myanmar.
The total cost to purchase a tractor = $34,750.00
