Improve Sanitary Conditions at Home for Street Children

Improve Sanitary Conditions at Home for Street Children

Construction & Repairs

Country: India

Fully Funded: September 25, 2016

Project Progress:

0% 50% 100%

This project will improve conditions at a home for 200 rescued street and working children — double the number it was originally built to serve. Bathroom facilities at the center are old and dilapidated, and unable to meet the demands of the number of inhabitants. Proper sanitation facilities and education on personal hygiene will promote a healthy environment for children and staff, and decrease the likelihood of disease.

This project is located at the Don Bosco Navajeevan Center in Ramanthapur in Telangana State, India.
To renovate existing facilities (toilets) and reconstruct those facilities that are beyond repair to serve 200+ rescued and at-risk children = $7,462.00
